Veteran Community Initiatives, Inc. (VCI) is a local nonprofit Veteran Service Organization that provides no-cost programs and services to veterans and veteran families throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. VCI emphasizes assisting those who are disabled, disadvantaged, unemployed and underemployed, substance users, and current and previously incarcerated, and administers this support by implementing community-based initiatives directly to veterans and military families with as little ‘red tape’ as possible.

VCI’s purpose is to enhance the lives and wellbeing of community residents – focusing on veterans and military families. VCI administers this support by assisting, caring, and advocating for our nation’s most precious resource – our veterans and military.
Veterans With Dignity Sustaining Fund
SUPPORT THOSE WHO SERVED
Veteran Community Initiatives, Inc. (VCI) is proud to launch the Veterans With Dignity Sustaining Fund, a community-wide effort dedicated to preserving and strengthening programs and services for veterans throughout our region.
For years, VCI has served veterans with dignity, compassion, and reliability, helping them access critical resources, support services, advocacy, and opportunities for a better future. Because nearly all of VCI’s funding comes from public support, public and private donations play a direct role in sustaining this important mission.
Who We Serve
VCI serves veterans, military members, caregivers, and the broader community across (14) counties in southwestern Pennsylvania. These counties include Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Huntingdon, Indiana, Jefferson, Juniata, Mifflin, and Somerset.
