Position Summary: The Program Specialist supports the development, coordination, and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives that align with VCI’s mission. This role works closely with staff and community to ensure programs are delivered effectively, professionally, and timely, prioritizing advocacy for positively maintaining and sustaining veterans’ overall wellbeing.
Veteran Community Initiatives, Inc. (VCI) is pleased to announce and congratulate this year’s Tom Caulfield Veterans Remembered Scholarship’s award winner, Autumn Walz, of Windber, Pennsylvania. Walz, currently a Windber School District Senior, has enlisted to serve (8) years with the Air National Guard after graduation. Daughter of Navy veteran Charles Walz, and granddaughter to Gerald Stone, Army veteran, Walz felt called to serve in the military as her family has before and has fostered the “commitment to serve” mentality through her studies, work, volunteering, and extracurricular activities.
