The Conemaugh Valley Veterans will be hosting its 29th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony on Main Street in Johnstown, Wednesday Nov. 11 at 4 pm.

U.S. National Guard Birthday – December 13, 2026. Even though it's not a federal holiday, the birthday of the U.S. National Guard — celebrated on December 13 — is an important event to note. Established in 1636, the National Guard is the oldest military organization in America.

The United States Space Force will celebrate its 7th birthday on December 20, 2026. Established on December 20, 2019, as the sixth branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the service commemorates this date by honoring its Guardians who protect national interests in the space domain.
